| anybody who was there during the time i was (83-84)will never forget the midnight races in the winter on homemade sleds out of roofing material left over.and three 2x4`s in front and the sides.we would go down after dark with our lanterns and hang them in the tree`s along the old road in back of the cabins.then we would make jumps across the road in the snow.then 4-5 of us would line up and someone would yell go!!the race was on.not only did we have huge jumps to deal with but other sledders bumping and trying to run you off the course as well.it was one of the best memories of wintertime i remember.even the staff went after they found out we were just having some wholesome fun.one time steve cawdrey himself came to cheer us on.i remember that like yesterday, does anyone else? |
