JOHN CLYDE HITZFELD died in a tragic accident on December 27, 2006. He was born in Houston, Texas on August 2, 1968 to Peggy Suggs and Dorman Hitzfeld. John grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and spent most of his adult life in Texas. He was proud to be both a Cajun and a Texan. John is survived by his wife Erin, his daughter Natalie, age 6, son Harper, age 2, mother Peggy Suggs, grandmother Carol Suggs, aunt and uncle Jay and Pat Low, many adopted brothers and sisters, and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert L. Suggs. John was a devoted Christian who had a particular love for ministering to youth and those who are troubled. He was a member of Fishers of Men Lutheran Church. He worked for many years in both the fitness and restaurant industries. There will be a celebration and remembrance of his life at Fishers of Men Lutheran Church on Tuesday, January 2 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund established for his children. Please visit www.fishersofmen.org for more information. John was a loving husband, father, son, and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all.
