I attended SCC in 88-early 90. I was a complete rebel about the whole thing, hated the thought of someone trying to tell what I had to do and how to do it. I fought tooth and nail almost every step of the way with the staff, most notably Mike Finn and Steve Cawdry at times. I fianally ran away on my 3rd attempt with Anni Haber when we just walked to opposite way from a 20 mile hike. I still think it was a genius escape. LoL!!
I ended up in Boise Idaho where I have been ever since the SCC days. I spent quite a few more years after SCC partying and not getting anywhere in my life. I ended up going to Boise State University and graduating with a degree in Drafting and Design. I work as a draftsman in Boise for a mechanical contractor. I am engaged to a great woman who has 2 kids and I have one daughted myself, who is almost 16 now. I enjoy lots of things these days, geocaching and kayaking with my family as well as camping, hunting, fishing and photography.
I owe a lot of who I am now to my time I spent at SCC, even if I didnt want to admit it at the time. The things I learned I still carry with me to this day. The love for the outdoors being the biggest thing that I got out of SCC. Looking back it was one of the greatest experiences of my life actually.
